Shipping & Returns

Every piece is handmade in Prairieville, Louisiana and packed by hand, ready to gift. Here's what to expect after you order.

Processing time

Ready-made pieces ship within 3–5 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). From mid-November through December, allow a couple of extra days.

Custom and personalized orders, such as wreath sashes, bows in your colors and named favors, usually take 1–2 weeks to make before they ship. Larger event or party-favor orders can take 2–3 weeks. If you need something by a certain date, email Michelle before ordering and she'll confirm whether it can be ready in time.

Shipping rates & carrier

• Standard shipping: $7.95 per order, no matter how many pieces you buy. Sent by USPS Ground Advantage and usually delivered 3–7 business days after it ships.
• Express shipping: $12.95 per order. Sent by USPS Priority Mail and usually delivered 1–3 business days after it ships.

You choose the option at checkout. A tracking number is emailed as soon as your order ships. We currently ship within the United States only.

Local pick-up in Prairieville

Live nearby? Choose Free local pick-up in Prairieville, LA as the delivery option at checkout. It's the safest way to get fragile pieces like oyster shells and ornaments home. Michelle will email you when your order is ready to set a pick-up time.

Gifts

• Gift wrap: tick "Gift wrap this order" in the cart for $4.25 per order. Every order is packaged ready to gift either way.
• Gift message: add one at checkout and Michelle will handwrite it on a card tucked inside.
• Sending to someone else: enter the recipient's name and address as the shipping address at checkout. It can be different from your billing address.

If something arrives broken

Oyster-shell crosses and ornaments are natural shell and are packed with extra padding, but now and then one is damaged on the way. If that happens:

• Email michelle@mldesignonline.com within 7 days of delivery with your order name and a photo of the piece and the box.
• Michelle will make you a replacement at no charge or, if you prefer, give you a full refund, shipping included.
• There's no need to send the broken piece back.

The same applies to any item that arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered.

Every oyster shell is unique. Small variations in shape, color and texture are part of the natural material and aren't defects.

Returns & exchanges

• Ready-made home décor, candles and ornaments can be returned unused, in their original condition, within 14 days of delivery. Email Michelle first to arrange the return.
• Return shipping is paid by the buyer unless the item arrived damaged or was sent in error. Your refund goes back to your original payment method once the item arrives, minus the original shipping cost.
• Final sale: custom and personalized orders, and earrings (for hygiene reasons).

Lost or late packages

If tracking stalls or a package shows as delivered but you can't find it, email Michelle and she'll help open a claim with USPS and make it right.
